What does Nauyaca mean?

The name “Nauyaca” is a metaphor that evokes respect and admiration for nature. In the Nahuatl language, it means “four noses”, but its meaning goes beyond words. It represents the ancestral bond between people and the natural environment, personified in the figure of a venomous snake that was once feared and respected in the lush jungles of Mexico and Central America. This revelation invites us to reflect on the profound connection between humanity and the natural world. Project Nauyaca highlights the importance of respect and admiration for nature and its mysteries.
